CNC-controlled drilling unit

The Excalibur 1201DE features a single CNC-controlled drilling head that travels along the X-axis of the machine’s heavy-duty support frame. This enables consistent, repeatable hole drilling without constant operator adjustments.

Automatic tool changing

Equipped with a 6-position automatic tool changer and HSK A80 tool holders, the machine supports efficient changeovers between drills, taps and milling cutters as required by the programme.

Flexible profile handling

Profiles such as beams, angle steel, square and rectangular tubes, and flat bars are easily positioned on the fixed support table. The Excalibur system then automatically moves along the component to perform all programmed operations.

Simple program loading

Program data can be entered directly at the control panel or loaded via standard CNC interfaces. Once started, the machine automatically advances along the material and processes all drilling positions without interruption.

Compact yet productive

The Excalibur’ travelling drilling unit concept makes the machine particularly compact compared to conventional beam drilling lines, yet still highly capable in terms of throughput and accuracy.
